I will be honest, I first took photography class in high school because I noticed that those students were allowed to get out of class and explore the halls during school. Little did I know I was stumbling onto my true passion! I decided to apprentice at a wedding photography company directly out of high school. I felt that I learned the technical aspects that I needed in high school and wanted to further my studies with real world experience. After a year with a local wedding photography company, I started my own business, S.R. Photography. 10 years later, we decided to rebrand to Coast and Copper and I returned to my film roots. I have an obsession for photography and can’t help but share that with others, which is why I started tutoring as well. I primarily shoot weddings and truly enjoy capturing such an important day in two peoples lives.

I have always had an interest in photography. My grandfather was a photographer, and my mother is an artist. Photography has always been a part of my life. Funny story, before Steve and I knew each other, my mom offered to pay Steve to tutor me in photography/darkroom. My high school didn't have photography and I really wanted to develop my own film. She gave him my phone number and he never called, haha! I studied graphic design in high school, and continued studio and digital art studies in college. I photographed my first wedding with Steve because his assistant couldn't make it, and we've been shooting together ever since!
When I am not taking photos, I am usually mom-ing it up with my little dude, dancing, or playing ukulele!
