A super snuggly motherhood session

This is one of our First Year Collection families and I just can’t get enough of them 😊I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet mama and her babies this time. I want to start off by saying that we don’t officially offer “Motherhood Sessions” because to us this still falls under the category of Family. Can I just say I loved the time I was able to spend with these ladies and tiny little six month old gentleman. I think a lot of moms know the feeling of having 4395873 photos of your children and hardly any with your children. It was nice to focus on the nurturing mothering side of the family and capture the sweet simple moments. Knowing that dad will be here for the next session in this First Year Collection just means we will have to get extra playful dad moments next time.

A lot of times we see that moms are worried about their children behaving, or sitting still for the photo. It takes a lot of reassuring to let parents know that when we say we want your children to be themselves, we really mean it! I think a lot of parents find themselves able to relax a little more when they realize that they don’t have to manage their children’s behavior. We really want to capture their silliness or playfulness or whatever mood they are in that day.

A lot of times we will set a pose up to leave room for wandering, because sometimes your little ones see things that we haven’t noticed.

We love to make sure that parents get to spend time with each of their children. I hear a lot of moms mention that the more children you have, the faster they grow up. For me Jude’s first year went by so quickly, I can’t imagine how quickly it will go when we have to share our time between more than one child. This one on one time is so special.
