There is something so special about the weeks leading up to your new baby. So many things are changing but there is an overwhelming calm that takes over as you prepare for the newest addition to your family. This time is precious and it’s so important to document it.
Maternity
Newborn
Baby is here! You guys are home from the hospital, time to document your new life before everything changes! Our newborn sessions are shot in your home. No need to bring your little one out if you don't have to. Crank the heat, feed the baby, and open the curtains! These sessions can take 45 minutes to 2 hours! It all depends on how your little one is feeling. This is why we insist shooting within the first 10 days of birth. We incorporate parents and siblings in these shoots because bringing home a new baby involves the whole family! We don't use props, costumes, or backdrops because we want the focus to be on you and your family. We keep posing simple and natural and we look for the areas of the home with the best light, wherever they may be.
4 month
This session is in your home again. We can also shoot outside or in the neighborhood for a change of scenery. This time we will get some shots of your baby's milestones whether they are grabbing their toes or rolling over. We will also incorporate parents and siblings because we are all about families connecting and interacting!
8 month
This session can be in home to get some more relaxed and candid shots or depending on the weather and the time of the year we can follow you the lake, pumpkin farm, apple orchard or a park. We are simply looking to spend time with you in your favorite places. Sitting up and crawling and interacting with the parents and siblings is our main focus in this one!
One year
This session will really the show the progression of your child. Perfect time to do some comparison shots between the newborn session. As always we will look for new milestones, and your family togetherness will be our focus! We would love to photograph you in your home or your favorite places.
